The Senior Contracts Specialist (SCS) negotiates and administers all aspects of commercial contracts. The SCS negotiates a variety of commercial contracts which are critical to enabling ATCC business activities and advise lower-level staff. They ensure contractual documents adhere to the organization’s policy and maintain knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices.
The Senior Contracts Specialist works on more complex agreements that may require integrating requirements from internal and external stakeholders. They normally receive little instruction on daily activities and general instructions on new assignments and work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors and problem solving. They demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Administer complex commercial agreements, including agreement closeout, negotiation, correspondence, documentation, certification, and reporting. Manage various communication channels, including a department inbox.
- Negotiate complex agreement terms from proposal stage to close-out in accordance with relevant organizational policy and regulation. Participate in the preparation of agreements and amendments.
- Prepare agreements and amendments, and statements of work. Review agreements for conformity to contract requirements.
- Prepare, deliver, and present on spreadsheets with formulas and data analysis. Ensure timely processing of department reports and deliverables. Generate reports on contract activity, as required.
- Establish and manage consulting agreements, Non-disclosure agreements, distribution agreements, supply agreement and research collaboration agreements etc.
- Execute Material Transfer Agreements, transfer inquiries process, and Material Deposit Agreements.
- Review contractual documents, including those related to IT, Sales and Marketing, Supply, etc. to ensure adherence to organizational policy and/or conformance to master agreement.
- Verify all aspects of the agreement to ensure conformance with the organization while maintaining a high-level of customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
- Ensure timely processing of department and contract activity reports and the timely submission of contract deliverables.
- Participate in special projects, as required, including corporate policies.
Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years' experience or equivalent experience.
