The Intellectual Property Analyst conducts research and produces reports concerning primarily raising awareness of intellectual property, respecting intellectual property held by third parties, protecting the company's intellectual property, and monitoring the competition's intellectual property.
Review invention disclosures and produce preliminary patentability reports;
Prepare preliminary reports on counterfeiting, free use and competitive intelligence in the field of intellectual property;
Produce content to promote intellectual property within the company;
Review technical documents intended for the public to avoid any compromising intellectual property disclosure;
Implement any other strategies necessary for the department's operations.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or in one of the following fields: electrical engineering, computer science or mechanical engineering;
Intellectual curiosity and ability to understand technical concepts;
Knowledge of the fundamental legal principles of patents;
Knowledge of search tools for indexing patent documents;
Attention to detail;
Ability to synthesize;
Oral and written communication skills (French and English).
